Friday I’m In Love | Salem in Halloween

For those not familiar, the Salem witch trials happened in the late 1600’s. A bunch of witches were tried, convicted, and executed for witchcraft. To this day, it still has a witchy feel year round. There are a lot of “goth” kids and adults, plus people that actually consider themselves witches living in Salem. The town always has a spooky vibe to it, and October just amplifies the whole thing. I always make the effort to come during this month, plus many other months, as I went to college near here and still have many friends in the area. I highly recommend it if you’re in the area! The actual Halloween bash is pretty insane too. You’ll see some of the best costumes and they shut down most of the streets so the ghoulish personalities can run amok around town.

I’m from Massachusetts but had never gone to Salem until just a couple of weeks ago. It truly was a magical place. Loved your post! 🙂

You should try checking it out other times of the year too! It really is a great spot for food and sights, and you’ll always feel the spooky-ness, year round.
